Big Tupper Mission
The mission of the Big Tupper Ski Area re-opening project is to provide a basic, no frills, affordable ski/snowboarding experience for individuals and families. The project at Big Tupper is a locally initiated, volunteer based, not-for-profit venture. Volunteers and community minded citizens are at the heart and soul of Big Tupper.

We will be staffing Big Tupper with volunteers during the following dates:

February: 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28
March: 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
April: 1, 2, 3, 4

Big Tupper has been one of New York's most popular ski areas. Located in Tupper Lake, with a base elevation of 2000' and a 700 foot vertical, Big Tupper offers a refreshing Adirondack ski experience.
This season we welcome you to Ski Big Tupper, AGAIN!! Having been closed for 10 years, a group of volunteers has worked diligently to get Chair 2 operational, with nearly 2/3 of the trails being utilized. From beginner to expert, the ski experience will be a refreshing alternative.
This year Big Tupper will open on December 26th and run thru January 3rd. Then throughout January, February, March and April we will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday depending on snow conditions.We currently do not have snowmaking capabilities. Holiday weekends we will also be open on Monday.
It is expected to be a great snow season, and that means great skiing. So, come join us and Ski Big Tupper, AGAIN!!!
